Homecoming

I am so thankful for the members of our military! Just last year, a good friend of ours had to be deployed to Iraq. He is married and has 3 young children. We had a huge send-off for him at church. I have never been a part of something like that. It was amazing. But even more amazing is how his precious wife held their family together and continued in her role of mom, nurse, taxi-driver, etc. and added dad's roles, too. We love this family so much and have prayed nightly for their safety. Tom is home--he got home yesterday. He is on the front page of the local paper today hugging his sweet family. I have just bawled and bawled. I appreciate so much the willingness of all these men and women who have stepped up to protect me and my freedom. What an outstanding job they do-day in and day out. 'Thank you' just doesn't seem to be enough. God bless you and those you must leave behind to do your job.
